Gobi Gear was inspired by our world travels – wanting a better way to make the most out of every moment we are outside, traveling, or just plain old having fun.  We’ve always known the world is an incredible place, but the more we see of it, the more we are convinced that it is in need of our help!

As a company, we wanted to do more than just sell goods so people could enjoy their travels.  We wanted to help mend the destruction that we see happening to our planet.  We plant trees in exchange for your purchases!

How You Can Help

We know that many of our customers are worldly, like-minded eco-savants who appreciate the environment and mother nature as much as we do.  That is why, upon checkout, you have the option to donate $2 with your purchase, to have a tree planted in your honor.  Do not feel pressured, we understand there are many forms of giving back, and only offer this to those who choose to make their donations with purchases.

Trees & Botany

Chez, the Founder of Gobi Gear, has a passion for botany.  So much that he “other” job is to work in the wilderness, tracking down rare plants and studying rare plant distributions across numerous ecosystems.  Plants are the basis of just about all life as we know it – from shelter to food, to oxygen to peace of mind. It was a natural fit to plant trees as Gobi Gear’s way of giving back to the planet.
